RISEN only Aussie film selected for development at Berlinale Talents
January 21, 2017
Tony Radevski has been selected as a Director/Writer at this year's Berlianle Talents. His next film, RISEN is one of 10 projects selected for the Berlinale Talents Short Film Station 2017.
Berlinale Talents brings together 250 creatives from various disciplines from around the world. Out of these, 40 participants with projects in development have been selected for Project Labs across documentary, fiction and short film.
RISEN is the only Australian project selected for development at this year’s Berlinale Talents.
RISEN follows the main character of Sean (15). He and his friends make money collecting 'the fallen’, but unlike his friends, and what seems like the rest of the world, he has a conscience.
Writer/director Tony Radevski says “the dystopian-esque world of RISEN has been swirling around in my head for over 10 years. This film raises the bar for me in terms of storytelling and I am grateful for the opportunity to develop it further, as well as share the experience with some wonderfully talented people from around the globe”.
Tony has just finished production on his second Macedonian/English language short film PILÈ (Little Bird). His first Macedonian/English short fiction, DEDO, funded through the Raw Nerve scheme (Metroscreen and Screen Australia) has just had its premiere at Flickerfest International Short Film Festival and will be screened on ABC2 and ABC-iview at the end of January.
