On the 26th November 2019, the Industry Awards Night of the 2019 SAE ATOM Awards were announced at the Hotel Esplanade in Melbourne, Australia. The ATOM Awards are dedicated to recognising film and media excellence in the screen industry and education sector, and have been held annually for over thirty-five years.

Pilè won the industry category for Best Short Fiction Film.

Pilè is a short dramatic film based on a childhood memory of writer-director, Tony Radevski. A young boy (“Pile”) visits his uncle’s farm with his family, and finds a lizard that has been attacking the farm’s hens. The life or death of this creature is now in Pilès hands, while his yearning for his father’s approval is tested against his growing sense of right and wrong. The film had its world premiere at the Oldenburg Film Festival, Germany.
